ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  This report provides a summary of human rights abuses documented in 2024, which include arbitrary arrests of civilians and residential shootings perpetrated by armed groups affiliated with the Myanmar military junta and militia groups in Kachin State and Northern Shan State. Throughout 2024, the Myanmar military junta intensified its use of jet aircraft in airstrikes targeting cities and public areas.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  According to data collected by the Kachin Human Rights Watch (KHRW) in 2024, a total of 142 people were killed, 167 were injured by the juntaโ€™s artillery strikes across various townships, and 219 individuals were arbitrarily arrested by the junta.
