Gwi Htu Village IDP Camp, Waimaw Twonship, Kachin State Date: May 17/ 2024
In Gwi Htu village, Nawng Hkying group, Kachin state, there is an IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp where around 1,000 people reside. With the onset of the rainy season, the IDPs are concerned about the safety of their temporary homes, access to medicine, and basic food supplies. Furthermore, with new classes starting next month, students are worried about their ability to continue their education.
